What FG Must Do for ASUU to Call off Strike

ASUU Chairman says they will return to class class when Government pays N55 Billion for revitalization, including owed salaries.

According to ASUU, the Federal Government wants them to return to class when their salaries have not been paid.

Asuu stated that the government must show commitment towards ending the strike when it’s members salaries are paid.

The next meeting has been scheduled for Friday, 5th of December. The outcome of the meeting will determine if both parties are ready to reopen schools or not.

Since the establishment of the Union in 1978, Asuu has gone on strike for various reasons, to push home their demands.

From1988, 1992,2007,2008,2009,2013,2017,2019 and 2020 the union went on strike, but this time, they’ve said if the Federal government refuses to do the right thing, they will not return back to class.
