Afropop sensation, David Adeleke, also known as Davido has declared support for Bobi Wine for the Uganda Presidential election.

Mr Wine who is also a musician is running against Yoweri Museveni who has been in power since 1986.

The election is slated for Jan 14.

Bobi Wine on Tuesday accused Museveni of sending soldiers to invade his home and arrest his security details.

According to reports, the country’s telecommunication regulator, Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Executive Director Irene Sewankambo ordered telecommunication companies to suspend access to social media.

Although Davido who is a Nigerian cannot vote in Uganda, his popularity across the continent comes with some influence.

It would be recalled that Nigeria’s entertainment industry had a tense relationship with the Ugandan govt over the arrest of Omah Lay in December for violating COVID-19 laws after performing at a show in the country.

There were reports of Ugandan musicians instigating the government to arrest the Nigerian star.

However, Davido on his Twitter timeline tweeted: “I’m definitely in support of good governance! And Bobi seems like a stand-up guy! He’s been fighting for revolution for a minute! Whoever wins .. I hope it’s will of the pples ️🇺🇬.”

Take Care of your Two Kids – Uzoamaka to Estranged Nedu

Take care of your two children, Uzoamaka urges estranged husband Nedu

Why I came out was because I have been paying the house rent and I have been taking loans for four years after he kicked us out of the house where we were staying.

Uzoamaka Ohiri, former wife of radio personality, Chinedu Ani, popularly known as Nedu, has called on him to take care of the two children they had together.

She made this call on PUNCH Live as she discussed issues surrounding her separation from the comedian.

Nedu had, in a weekend post on Instagram, claimed that he wasn’t the father of her first child, citing the result of a DNA test.

Uzoamaka, in her PUNCH Live interview, had also explained the circumstances surrounding the birth of the male child, stating, however, that throughout their marriage, she was faithful to Nedu.

She stated that since the comedian walked out of their marriage four years ago, she had been solely responsible for the care of the two children which, she noted, Nedu had fathered.

According to Uzoamaka, Nedu barely knows the last child, a female, because they separated not long after the child was born.

He doesn’t know the last one. He walked out of her life when she was born; so, she doesn’t know her,” Uzoamaka said.

She lamented that though Nedu is their father, he is not being supportive towards their welfare.

Uzoamaka claimed that she had been battling to pay the house rent and that, despite her pleas, Nedu hadn’t been taking care of the children’s expenses.

Nedu pays the children’s school fees, however, according to her; noting that, that was why she brought the issue out on social media over the weekend.

He pays school fees. Why I came out was because I have been paying the house rent and I have been taking loans for four years after he kicked us out of the house where we were staying.

“This is four years now. I have been paying house rent and I have been asking him to support. Four years now. That’s why I came out,” Uzoamaka explained.
