Nigeria Labour Congress Reconcile With United Labour Congress

Some years after a faction broke away, the Nigeria Labour Congress has reconcile with the United Labour Congress led by Joe Ajaero to form a united labour movement.

The ULC broke away in December 2016 during the delegates conference which was to elect new leadership for the NLC.

The NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, broke the news of the reconciliation to journalists at the end of a joint session meeting addressed by the two leaders of the unions on Thursday in Abuja.

Wabba said with the reconciliation, the leadership of the ULC has been re-integrated into the NLC.

He announced Ajaero as the new NLC Deputy President.
